On a very hot Friday afternoon, Jasper and I were introduced to work together. Ever wish you could listen to your favorite Billie Eilish music and pen down 10 important words and before the song is even finished, you have your own SEO-optimized masterpiece. Surprised, right? So was I.

With Jasper.ai it has been a love-turned-hate relationship because I liked what I saw. At this point, I was as curious that the last form of being a writer involved looking for a writing assistant. Sigh!
My question was: with Jasper AI’s advanced guard technology will I be able to stop worrying about writing fresh and innovative content? Should a love letter really be typed out through a writing assistant now, but would it know the feelings and experiences that need to be included in the letter, that is unique to me? Can Jasper AI replace human writers?

What is Jasper AI?
In the past, if you wanted to have a conversation with someone, you would have to be in the same room as them. Or at least, that’s how it used to be. These days, there are all sorts of ways to have a conversation with people, no matter where they are in the world. You can call them on the phone, send them a text message, or even chat with them online.
But what about conversations with computers? Until recently, there have been pretty much limited to movies and TV shows. But now, there is a new AI tool called Jasper.ai that is making it possible for businesses to have real-time conversations with their customers online.

Jasper AI cannot help you replace your content writers. It acts as a catalyst. The work of a catalyst is to simply break down paper pulp to produce the smooth paper in your magazine. Similarly, Jasper AI can act as a catalyst to give the writer a competitive edge and act as a thought multiplier, however, it is not transforming the content into ‘smooth paper’.

No, there is no ingredient of innovation or newness in the content that is suggested by Jasper AI. What attracts the users is the range of templates that it provides:
Don’t be surprised when I say that Jasper AI performs ‘best’ when there is an abundance of information available on the internet but the content might still not reek of originality.
Jasper AI should not be used to substitute your words rooting from experience and craft that is reflected when you’re blogging, after all - blogging is an honest conversation, right?

The starter pack in Jasper AI starts with a pricing of $29 per month for writing 20,000 words and it can go up to $399 per month for 320,000 words. The starter pack provides access to all base templates to write short-form content like product descriptions.
Boss Mode provides you with the feature of being a boss to Jasper AI by using Jasper commands and long-form content starting from a price of $59 per month assisting with 50,000 words.
The price goes up to $600 per month for a word count of 700,000 words. Expensive, right? It would have been efficient if by spending the amount I was able to experience a no-human contact feature post content suggestions from Jasper. That’s sadly not the case here.
The customizable pricing structure is available with Jasper AI, exciting I am sure. All things bright and beautiful, might not be worth one’s time.
Jasper AI and Surfer AI Integration
In 2021, Jasper AI announced integration with the On-Page SEO tool Surfer SEO, this feature is slightly useful as it provides keyword suggestions that can be used for SEO optimizing the content. One needs to have a subscription to Surfer SEO and Jasper AI to use this integration. This tool is effective in identifying for you how many of the primary keywords should be used to make your content fit for search engines.
But, Jasper AI is a writing assistant, so do I really require Jasper for search engine optimization for drafted content?
If you believe that Jasper AI can replace a human writer then I’d disagree with you because even with Jasper, you NEED a human to edit and deliver the content which is 100% fact-checked.
The future might be robotic and transforming at a 5x speed, yet human writers can never go out of business. Jasper AI is an extremely easy platform to use and deserves a 5-star UI/UX rating, the right question to ask here: is it worth your time?
